    Clive Gilman
    Director, Creative Industries, Creative Scotland

    Clive Gillman works as the Director of Creative Industries for Creative Scotland, the public body that supports the arts, screen and creative industries across all parts of Scotland on behalf of everyone who lives, works or visits here. Clive has a background in contemporary art and media, having worked as an artist and Associate Director of FACT in Liverpool, before becoming the Director of Dundee Contemporary Arts (2005-2015).


    Alison Turnbull
    Director of Development and Partnership, Historic Environment Scotland (HES)

    Alison’s role covers a wide range of areas including community engagement, strategic partnerships, research, policy, strategy implementation, international working, equalities and fundraising. Alison has created a new Directorate with a fresh approach in Historic Environment Scotland (HES). She led the process to develop Heritage for All, HES’s corporate plan using service design methods and engaging seldom heard voices. She has over 13 years of experience within the heritage sector, serving as the Head of Research and Development at the Museum Galleries Scotland. Before that she worked in a range of policy development roles in the Scottish Government. Alison has degrees in Sociology and Cultural Studies from the University of Auckland. She is on the Board of Scotland’s Towns Partnership and is a former Deputy Chair of Hearts & Minds.

    Joe Traynor
    Head of Museum Development, Museums Galleries Scotland

    Joe Traynor is Head of Museum Development at Museums Galleries Scotland, the National Development Body for Scotland’s museum and galleries. Leading on the National Strategy and associated Delivery Plans, professional advice, vocational training and skills development, grants, Accreditation and Recognition, as well as partnerships and forums, Joe is passionate about working together to ensure that museums and galleries achieve their potential and maximise their impact on communities and Scotland as a whole.

    Chris Taylor
    Regional Leadership Director, VisitScotland

    VisitScotland works to promote Scotland globally as a visitor destination. By informing and inspiring visitors and providing support for thousands of tourism businesses in Scotland, VisitScotland helps to give visitors a great experience, provides opportunities for businesses to grow and works with partners to help manage tourism responsibly. Before joining VisitScotland, Chris worked at Highlands & Islands Enterprise, leading their tourism and food & drink teams and prior to that, at the Cairngorms National Park Authority. He is passionate about tourism in Scotland and is always keen to find new ways to support the tourism industry. He lives on the Black Isle, just north of Inverness, and enjoys spending as much time as possible in the outdoors, exploring Scotland.
