SHEARS

SHEARS is pop music with a dark edge. Growing up in Ayr, Rebecca 'SHEARS' Shearing sang opera from the age of five, learned piano, flute, and guitar through adolescence, while burying a deep love of Christina Aguilera and Destiny’s Child under stacks of notation and music theory. She moved to Edinburgh aged 17 to study vocals at university, and began writing. Inspired by real-life frustrations and the innate desire to respond to those feelings, she has written and recorded a series of singles for release in 2019, produced by ‘Samson’ and mixed by Matty Green (Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Hurts).
