Canada is highly regarded for the quality of its support for the Creative industries. Lara Thorpe and Isabel Ringuet of the Canadian Government’s Department of Heritage, will present a short overview of the new Canadian export strategy, and how their support for the sector works.     Lara Thorpe is the Manager of the Creative Export Strategy Policy Team at the Department of Canadian Heritage, where she provides policy guidance, advice and research on how the Department can best assist Canadian creative industries to maximize their export potential.

    Isabelle Ringuet
    Director, Strategic Policy and Management, for the Cultural Affairs (CA) sector of Canadian Heritage

    Isabelle is the federal co-chair of the Federal, provincial and territorial Table on culture and heritage, bringing together 14 jurisdictions from across Canada to collectively reflect upon cultural and heritage policies. Isabelle is the Canadian director for the TV5 program and represents Canada within the TV5 partnership.
