Founder, Jenny Brown Associates
Jenny Brown established the Edinburgh-based literary agency Jenny Brown Associates in 2002. The agency is known for representing Scottish-based writers of literary and crime fiction, narrative nonfiction, and writing for children. She was previously founder director of the Edinburgh International Book Festival, (of which she is now Vice Chair) and Head of Literature at the Scottish Arts Council. She is Chair of the crime writing festival Bloody Scotland.

Lisa Highton started Two Roads Books, an imprint of Hachette, in 2011. The list publishes 15 narrative non-fiction and fiction titles a year, including novels from Kirsty Wark, Ruth Hogan and Sally Magnusson, and non-fiction titles from Monty Don and Susan Calman. Over her long career in publishing Lisa has been the publishing director of HarperCollins and Hachette in Australia, returning to the UK in 2005.
