This informal listening session will offer showcasing artists a unique opportunity to gain constructive and valuable feedback on their material from a broad range of respected industry voices.

    Vic Galloway
    Journalist, Author, Broadcaster

    Vic Galloway is a broadcaster, journalist, musician and author based in Scotland. With 21 years of experience from 1999 until now, he has presented weekly music programmes for the BBC including over 11 years for Radio 1. He continues to broadcast and champion new music on BBC Radio Scotland every week and regularly on BBC 6Music, alongside documentaries for various radio and TV networks. As a journalist Vic has written for CLASH, Gigwise, The Skinny, The List, The Times and Sunday Herald. He is also a musician, DJ, curator and event host. His first book ‘Songs in the Key of Fife’ (about The Beta Band, King Creosote, KT Tunstall, James Yorkston & the Fence Collective) was published 2013 and was well received. His following book ‘Rip It Up – The Story of Scottish Pop’ was published in collaboration with the National Museum of Scotland in June 2018, alongside accompanying Radio and TV series. He writes, records and performs with a new band CHECK MASSES, who are releasing their debut album NIGHTLIFE in summer 2020.

    Steve has had a career in music that has encompassed touring, artist management, digital, catalogue & label management but being a publishing A&R is what is what he has spent most time doing. Steve’s current position is at booking agency 13Artists. The role at 13 Artists is to develop artists via the publishing company 13 Artists Publishing.

    Rachel Menzies
    Music Supervisor, Native Music Supervision and Production

    With over 10 years’ experience in the Music Industry Rachel has proven success in Music Supervision, New Business and International Development within the music publishing space. She has spent the last decade mentoring and managing sales teams in the UK, Germany & France, working closely with creative teams Globally from the Broadcast, Film, Gaming and Radio industries.

    Sat Bisla
    Owner, A&R Worldwide

    Sat Bisla is regarded as a leading influencer and connector to the global music business. He’s worked as a club DJ, journalist, radio programmer, club booker, manager, A&R man and consultant for various music companies worldwide.

    Björn Sandberg
    Promotions Manager, FUGA

    Björn is a proud alumni of Glasgow’s World famous student ran label Electric Honey Records. He was Head of Digital for Thrill Jockey Records, before returning to the UK last year as Promotions Manager for Digital Distribution company FUGA. There he provides international digital retail marketing for artists at iconic UK indie labels.
