Digital Skills for Creatives
A programme of 4 webinars tailored for small businesses operating within the Creative Industries in Scotland.
Funded through the Creative Digital Initiative (CDI) and hosted by the South of Scotland Enterprise, the purpose of these sessions is to increase the digital awareness and skills of the creative sector, encouraging 'creative' digital approaches to business in a post-pandemic world where everything has changed.
Remotely delivered by experts from digital training consultancy NSDesign Ltd, the webinars will be fun, engaging, and collaborative – with audience participation, brainstorming and reflective thinking.
Participants are welcome to attend all 4 sessions or can sign up to the ones they feel are most relevant to their needs. A range of dates are available and more will be added subject to demand. Please email gary@nsdesign.net to be kept updated.
Each webinar will have up to 25 places available and places are limited to 1 participant per organisation.
Webinar 1 - Evolving Digital
Embracing digital to protect, innovate, diversify and thrive.

Google estimates that in the last year, we've experienced the equivalent of a decade's worth of digital change. Has your business evolved to suit the new business landscape?
In this session, we'll explore some of the basics to ensure business survival in these challenging times, discuss new business models and how you might adopt them, and examine the connected customer journey and new routes to market, both the digital opportunities and the digital threats.

- Protecting your creative IP and understanding the real value inside your organisation

Webinar 2 - Working Digital
Embracing digital to work smarter, develop new products and WOW your audience.

This session will take you through the latest best practice advice for home working and remote interaction, discuss how to run online events, deliver services, and get paid for your work across a range of digital platforms, and increase presentation skills to help maximise your online presence.

Webinar 3 - Selling Digital
Embracing digital to increase visibility, develop trust, and sell more creative products and services.

Wednesday 24th November 1pm – 4pm | Wednesday 8th December 5.30pm – 8.30pm
With physical real-world interactions limited, a trusted digital presence easily found by your customers is more important now than ever before, with digital sales channels often your only route to market.
This session will highlight some of the key factors in developing a robust web presence, from understanding the purpose of your website and resources required to develop it for the long term, through to discussing the importance of Usability, SEO, analytics and more.
Topics we'll cover include:
- Marketplaces and Multi-Channel Selling (including Amazon, Google Shopping, Etsy, Facebook Shops and more)
- Search Engine Optimisation and a Customer Focused Experience
- Creating new interactive experiences with Immersive Tech
