Museums Immersive Network
Join us for the second free webinar of the Museums Immersive Network – a network for museums and immersive technology - on January 27th 2021.
The network has been established to promote and share best practice, new developments, skills development opportunities, and potential collaborations with immersive technology and museums. Immersive technology offers the potential to interpret our collections and share our stories in new, accessible, and interesting ways. We hope the Museums Immersive Network will support the establishment of immersive technology more broadly within the sector and boost confidence in working with tech businesses to create new experiences for our communities. Read our full mission statement here.
Our topic for this second webinar is: Looking to the Future: Immersive Tech in the Post-COVID Museum. After a difficult year for all in the museum sector, we are looking to the future and looking to inspire conversation, debate and ideas for imagining new ways of working and the role immersive tech can play in driving change.
Our keynote will come from Jessica Driscoll, Head of Immersive Technology at Digital Catapult. We will have panel discussions on ‘Making the most of existing assets’ and monetisation’, along with talks from Rising Sun Creative, Taigh Chearsabagh Museum on North Uist, Barbara Seidl from Northern Light Productions and many more. The full programme will be confirmed before the end of the year.
Whether you have lots of experience in this area, or have no clue about immersive or museums whatsoever, it would be great to have you join the new Museums Immersive Network.
MIN was established by Cornwall Museums Partnership and is supported by XpoNorth. For more information about the network and how to be involved in the next webinar, please feel free to email our heritage specialist, Nicola Henderson nicolahenderson@xponorth.co.uk
