Angus Grant Art

A craftsman, painter and teacher based in the Cairngorms National Park- his work is inspired by this beautiful location and the changing light on the landscape.

Location: Grantown on Spey

I am a craftsman, painter and teacher based in the Cairngorms National Park. My work is inspired by this beautiful location and the changing light on the landscape. I love painting the lochs, mountains and wildlife of the Highlands. I also produce homeware featuring my drawings of Highland animals. This range including mugs, coasters and candles in handmade claypots. One of my recent collections, called Ar-Tea, comprises illustrations of animals created using tea stains. This was inspired by a lockdown lesson I created for my pupils at Grantown Grammar School, when we practiced painting skills using ordinary household substances.
