West Highland Museum

Situated in the High Street in the heart of the historic town of Fort William in the Scottish Highlands, The West Highland Museum's collections tell the story of the region and its history.

We have a large range of books, mainly of local or historical interest: - Lochaber, canal, railways, St Kilda, Jacobites, commandos, Glencoe, Aluminium. We also have Scottish cookery, wildlife, and general Scottish interest. Our extensive gift range includes hand engraved Jacobite glassware, exclusive to the museum and various Celtic/Jacobite jewellery. We also have a wide variety of gifts such as greeting cards and stationery, fridge magnets, replica packs, pin badges, key rings, railway posters. Copies of 2 local DVDs are also available:- George Scott’s 1950’s Lochaber and the 1997 Strip the Willow celebrating the museums 75th Anniversary. We also have the Commando DVD and the 70 years at Achnacarry DVD.
