Argyll Drop in Music Industry Development Sessions

In partnership with MOJO Argyll, a drop-in / no fuss / no-booking-required open house where you can tell us about your music, your ideas, bring your demos, ask questions and get some tips on topics including: copyright and publishing ~ networks and support organisations ~ getting gigs etc.

Joe McAlinden is the former frontman of Scottish indie-rockers Superstar and a collaborator with Teenage Fanclub, Rod Stewart and Alex Chilton. His debut album Bleached Highlights (2012) was released on Edwyn Collins' & James Endeacott's AED Records generating many rave reviews. Along with artists including Passenger, Lily Allen, Lemar and Robbie Williams Joe has representation with ie music. His latest album, Rest And Be Thankful, was recorded on the west coast of Scotland with fellow bandmates Eric Lindsay, Marco Rea and Stuart Kidd.

John Saich is the Arts Programme Manager at Craignish Village Hall and was for eleven years bass player and song writer with Scots Gaelic pioneers Capercaillie, appearing on eight albums including Secret People (produced by Calum Malcolm and Donal Lunny) and the band’s Top 40 single Coisich a Ruin. John has written and recorded music for television on BBC Scotland and Discovery, and set up his own label Wild Biscuit in 2000.
