Workshop: New to Podcasting with Pauline Moore

Workshop: New to Podcasting with Pauline Moore

We're delighted to have radio and podcast producer Pauline Moore (BBC Radio Scotland; Radio Foyle; Radio 4; BBC Sounds; The Big Light Podcast Network) host a New to Podcasting Workshop. Whether you are an organisation or individual business, online storytelling is now the primary way to engage audiences and podcasts are a perfect answer to that challenge.

Pauline will share her tips of the radio trade, offer one-to-one feedback about how to get your unique podcast started and share her secrets to good audio storytelling.

Please note that the workshop is now full. Details will be shared soon about when it will be available to view.

For more information please contact Ashley Lawrie (ashleylawrie@xponorth.co.uk).

Pauline Moore has shared with us her ‘My Favourite Podcasts’ that she’s listening to at the moment.

1/ The Rachel Maddow Show (It’s her TV show on MSNBC which is also made into a podcast for some reason it works - she’s a great story teller, even if you have no interest in US politics.)

2/ Brave Your Day (from The Big Light) A husband and wife counselling team who started podcasting less than a year ago. Great life affirming stories, and interviews, always gives a bit more and through the lockdown they just talked to each other about the challenges of lockdown.

3/ The West Wing Weekly Podcast - I followed it for around 3 years as it took an episode a week from the long running TV series about the imagined workings of the heart of American Politics - The West Wing. It aired more than 20 years ago but still relatable, the podcast brought it back to life again.

4/ Unfictional - is a new soon to be favourite podcast, for it’s rich use of soundscapes and true life stories.

5/ Fortunately - I drift in and out of listening to this but it’s great fun. Two middle aged Radio 4 presenters, who are supposed to be digging around behind the scenes of stories and radio programmes in the BBC’s Broadcasting House but it drifts off wonderfully in all kinds of directions and is a great example of on-air chemistry between two women who are great friends.
