Taking place across Wednesday 24 – Thursday 25 June 2020, the conference promises to deliver a dynamic programme with local and international industry leaders from across the creative industries visiting the Highland Capital, Inverness.
The highlight of XpoNorth is the conference and film and music showcase, held at Eden Court Theatre and Cinema. Now in it’s 6th year, the conference has previously had speakers from Sony Entertainment, Paramount, NASA, Warner Bros, HarperCollins, Microsoft, Google, The Louvre and many more. This year is no exception with Barrie Kelly (NBC Universal), Lorna Macaulay (Harris Tweed Authority), Jeremy Yohai (Concord Music Publishing) and Karen Fleming (Forensic Artist) all confirmed to take part in the seminar programme.
As always, the conference will focus on the key themes and cultural trends impacting the sector. This year will include trade stands from leading organisations as well as networking events and the opportunity for 1-2-1s.
For those looking to attend, free Delegate Registration is open and will give you access to the seminar programme and the film and music showcases which take place in the evenings. The Music and Film submissions are open until Friday 27 March, these are also free and details to enter are on the website.
XpoNorth works year-round to support, connect and advise practitioners within the creative industry. It offers direct access to the Highlands and Islands network as well as the global marketplace to ensure that all creatives can connect with industry professionals.
Iain Hamilton, Head of Creative Industries at Highlands and Islands Enterprise, said: ‘As XpoNorth continues to develop the scope and range of content and key areas of discussion, we’re excited to start announcing the participants set to join us at this year’s edition. Our 2020 conference will continue to offer attendees an outstanding platform to connect with leading industry figures from across the International creative and cultural arenas. As always, the ambition is to inform and inspire our audience and ensure that we continue to look at the most relevant and credible topics shaping and impacting the sector. An important element is to continue to create a range of opportunities for attendees to gain invaluable insights and extend their professional and peer networks. This summer is set to be our broadest, most collaborative and exciting programme yet and we’re looking forward to announcing our full programme over the coming months.’
