Gaelic Toolkit launched

Visit Scotland have launched their first Gaelic toolkit which has been designed to help the tourism industry build upon the intrigue visitors from across the globe have for the Gaelic language. Our new asset highlights many ways to use and promote Gaelic and its culture to create a more immersive visitor experience, such as teaching staff some basic phrases and translating place names to reveal their Gaelic origins and meanings.

It comes as interest in the language continues to grow and our consumer site, VisitScotland.com, reports a 56% increase in the popularity and views of Gaelic content. Our 'Scottish Gaelic: Explained' film released in June 2019 for VisitScotland.com has more than 500,000 views.
