Highland makers featured at international art fair, Collect 2022

Collectors, curators and visitors from the UK and abroad will have the opportunity to engage with exceptional works in silversmithing & goldsmithing, furniture making, ceramics and woodworking, textiles and blacksmithing.

Dates: 25th – 27th February 2022, Somerset House, London

Collect will showcase the ambitious new work from 11 of Scotland’s most talented makers.

Highlands and Islands makers include:

  • Moray based Duke Christie will display his furniture and art in wood. The natural environment surrounding Duke’s home and studio in Moray provides inspiration, with the Cairngorm mountains to the south, the Moray Firth to the north and rivers Spey and Findhorn.
  • Black Isle based Eileen Gatt is a jewellery designer and silversmith. She’s fascinated by the mystical connection between people and the sea and uses folklore from Scotland and North America as a inspiration for her designs.
