Rising Star Award with Apple Music
The Rising Star Award with Apple Music honours young British and Irish songwriters with exceptional potential and ambition. The Award discovers, supports, and accelerates the careers of the most promising music creators.
The winner will be presented with a dedicated Ivor Novello Award and join a roll call of songwriting greats that includes Adele, Stormzy, Cathy Dennis, Annie Lennox, Sir Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Joan Armatrading. All nominees will receive a year-long mentorship from a well-established Academy member and leaders from Apple Music.
The Award is open to songwriters aged 18 – 24. Writers must be a Standard Under 25 member of The Ivors Academy and British or Irish, or ordinarily resident in the UK.
