Scientists with dreams of Hollywood, have you watched a film and thought "I can do better"? Now is your chance! After the astonishing success of the Writers' Tweet Pitch for the last three years, XpoNorth is teaming up with the Edinburgh Science Festival to boldly go where no one has gone before...and host a Scientists' Tweet Pitch!
Science fiction shows us warning tales, aspirational visions and possibilities of our future. We look forward to giving Scientists a chance to be the next generation of storytellers lighting our way forward, on the big screen.
On Friday 19th April (9am-9pm) Scientists from across Scotland can tweet pitch a film or tv idea to an international network of TV / film agents and producers.
We’re opening our twitter channels to pitches from scientists of all disciplines; we recommend that the story be inspired by or based on research that they are involved in. The Scientist must be living and working in Scotland.
Our network of eager agents and producers will read your tweet pitches as they come in, and if they like what they read they’ll make contact with the pitching Scientist directly - to find out more with a view to optioning or co-developing.
Tweets are a maximum length of 280 characters, and this year pitching writers use just one hashtag: #xponorth
Scientists - to pitch your work - compose a pitch that really sells your tv/film story idea and include the hashtag #xponorth in your tweet.
