Shared Perspectives: Driving Culture Through Place

Creative Industries is often typically viewed through an urban lens, but rural areas have their own distinct sense of place and unique provenance which can form an integral part of how they present themselves to the world. In this session, Ealasaid MacDonald from MG Alba, Emily McEwen-Fujita from Bradan Press, Nova Scotia, Iain Fionnlagh MacLeòid from Cànan Graphics Studio and Coinneach MacFhraing from Spòrs Gàidhlig will explore the rich relationship between the creative industries and place, discuss how geography shapes and defines culture and how this creates meaning and value for communities and businesses. It will run in Gaelic with translation available.
