Ceòl ’s Craic's 2017-18 programme of events begins with a new initiative aimed at aspiring Gaelic speaking filmmakers.
Greas Geàrr will give three selected filmmakers the opportunity to work together to create a short documentary film focusing on the ties between older and younger generations of the Gaelic community. The project will be delivered in collaboration with the community filmmaking group Camcorder Guerrillas and an experienced Gaelic speaking filmmaker who will guide and support participants. A series of filmmaking workshops will be held between October and November of this year and the completed film will be screened at their March 2018 Club Film event.
Applicants are invited to submit a proposal for a 3-5 minute film that will take a look at this particular aspect of the Gaelic community by Friday 29th September. To find out more and details on how to apply visit their recent newsletter online.
