XpoNorth and Edinburgh Television Festival Talent Scheme Applications open now!

Sat 3 Mar 2018 / News

We have an exciting opportunity for TV talent in the Highlands and Islands. XpoNorth and the Edinburgh Television Festival’s Talent Schemes are partnering on a new initiative to develop TV talent at all levels in the region.

The Edinburgh TV Festival is the biggest and most prestigious media event in the UK. The festival brings together all parts of the television and digital world to celebrate creativity, diversity and inspirational talent in our field, and to debate the major issues facing the industry.

Their charitable arm boasts two flagship schemes The Network (for entry level talent) and Ones to Watch (for emerging talent with at least three years’ experience in the industry) which offer residential programmes in Edinburgh, year-round mentoring and support and further training and job opportunities. Alumni from its 27 year history have gone on to win BAFTAs and run channels and production companies. Find out more at www.tvtalentschemes.co.uk

Both opportunities are open to all in the region, but this new opportunity will help support those whose experience level and ambitions may not be covered by the existing programmes, whilst still benefitting from aspects of their content.

Working in partnership with the festival's talent scheme, we have a unique chance for people from across various stages of their career in TV in the Highlands and Islands to apply for industry mentoring and continued support, as well as an all-access pass to this year's TV festival and plenty of scope to develop your contact book.

Expressions of interest are open until 19th March 2018.

Simply send a CV and a covering letter outlining what you’re looking to achieve in your career in the next 12 months to campbell.glennie@thetvfestival.com.

For more information on their current work please visit www.thetvfestival.com/talentschemes.

Applicants must currently live in the Highlands and Islands.
