Noticeboard

Need help to find creative people to work with - what skills are you looking for?

The current crisis means that we are all having to think about how to do things differently to keep the business going. Unfortunately, not many of us will be fortunate enough to have all the skills we need in-house to achieve this. The XpoNorth Notice Board is an easy way to let others know what skills you are looking for, and will be a useful place to see what work might be available for creatives, so, whether you need a film maker, coding skills, experience of online sales or anything else, this is the place to post.

We will promote the board as widely as we can, but in order to keep this as up to date as possible, we are not 'recommending' or evaluating the skills levels of respondents, we will just do what we can to link people up.

If you have any questions or need some advice, just send a question by e-mail to Claire clairelyall@xponorth.co.uk and we will get back to you with a response as quickly as we can.

Please email your interests via the ‘Contact Us’ facility available via www.ColinCooperPhotography.com/ContactUs Increasingly unlicensed, unapproved SUsA (unofficially known as ‘drone’) operators are flying without insurance or due care & attention. Facilitating one of these operators as a photographer or videographer is dangerous, potentially illegal, & puts you, your project &/or others in unnecessary jeopardy. Enforced by law, all UK drone operators must be government registered, GDPR compliant & have a legally recognised qualification of competency, permission for commercialising aerial works & public liability insurance. Hello all, glad to be able to participate in XPo North this week. I am a researcher at Newcastle University doing a large project on music in rural areas. The key question of the research is how best to support sustainable musical micro-enterprises in the rural creative economy? I'd love to hear from you if you work in any form of music or music-related business in the Highlands and Islands. You can contact me via the socio app, or directly at simon.mckerrell@newcastle.ac.uk Looking forward to hearing more from everyone. There is a bit more detail on my website for anyone who is interested in finding out more about the research: https://simonmckerrell.com/research/music-in-the-rural-creative-economy-project/ all the best, Simon McKerrell.
