Scotland Accounts for 31% of Association meetings in UK
Scotland is celebrating another year as a world leading destination for international association events as the latest International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) rankings reveal that the country accounted for 31% of the total number of association events taking place in 2019 in the UK.
In 2019, Scotland hosted 143 association events that met the ICCA criteria, a 2.5% increase in the number taking place in the country compared with the previous year. The results also showed the Scottish cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh placed higher in the rankings than Melbourne, Vancouver and New York.
