Disability & Careers At The BBC: Webinar Series
As part of the BBC’s ambition to better reflect the population of its workforce and output, we’re dedicated to finding the best deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent candidates from across the UK to come and work with us! As part of this commitment we will be running a series of events and webinars to help answer questions and provide insight into working at the BBC.
Session 1: This is My BBC Date: Wednesday 25th October Time: 11:00-11:45 BBC’s D&I Disability Lead, Robbie Crow will be speaking to a panel of BBC colleagues who identify as deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent. This session will give you an insight into their support networks, their challenges and what they wish they knew before working at the BBC!
Session 2: Let's Talk About Adjustments Date: Thursday 26th October Time: 13:00-13:45 The BBC is committed to making sure disabled people have the adjustments in place that they need to do their role. At this session we’ll talk about the importance of adjustments, the role of BBC’s dedicated Access & Disability Service, the DWP’s Access to Work fund, and there’ll be an opportunity to ask questions about adjustments at the BBC.
Session 3: Demystifying BBC Applications and Interviews Date: Friday 27th October Time: 11:00-11:45 This session will explain the BBC’s recruitment process. Learn from hiring managers and talent acquisition experts on their top tips for CVs and applications and how to showcase your best self in interviews.
