
Gaelic Language Plan Public Consultation
Skills Development Scotland's draft Gaelic Language Plan for 2020-2023 is now out for public consultation. The plan will remain open for this period of consultation from 11 September 2020 to 23 October 2020.
SDS is committed to the support and development of the Gaelic language and, as a major national public body in Scotland, we recognise that we make a significant contribution to the recognition of Gaelic as an economic and cultural asset for Scotland.
This is the third iteration of our Gaelic Language Plan. It builds on our experience of implementing previous plans and includes more ambitious activities for SDS going forward.
Our new Plan continues to demonstrate our organisational commitment to the ambitions set out in the National Gaelic Language Plan 2018-2023, to:
- Increase the use of Gaelic
- Increase the learning of Gaelic
- Promote a positive image of Gaelic
