Museum Freelancers Hardship Fund - opening 1st May

Thanks to lots of generous donors helping raise a whopping £2000, I’m pleased to announce details of how to apply for the Museum Freelancers Hardship Fund, which is providing 10 x £200 bursaries for museum freelancers. The Fund is open to museum freelancers who started freelancing in 2019/20 so haven’t yet completed a tax return and can’t get financial support from the government.

If you’d like to apply, email me on from 9am GMT on 1st May with MUSEUM FREELANCE HARDSHIP FUND in the header. Please write your name, specialism and email address in the email. To make things as simple as possible, bursaries will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. Thanks to a very generous donation of £400 from Conserv (@ TeamConserv on Twitter), 2 of the bursaries are ring-fenced for conservation freelancers - please make it very clear if you fall into this category.
