Esther Armstrong

Esther Armstrong an artist based in Dingwall, approached XpoNorth Feb 21.

At the time Esther was rethinking her sales strategy, due to the impact the pandemic had on her business, which previously relied on visitors to the region. Esther recognised her website designed 15 years ago, was out of date and that social media would play a part in connecting with potential customers.

After a zoom session with Joan Johnston, Textile Craft and Fashion specialist for XpoNorth, Esther followed up with Business Gateway which led to working with Tuminds, helping to redesign the website, which Esther could update herself.

Over the coming months Esther engaged with online XpoNorth seminars and webinars to learn more about social media and how she could use it to build engagement.

“The support received made a huge difference getting the website and social media up to date. ”

Esther paints traditional Highland landscapes mainly in pastel, but also uses oil or watercolour.

“Using my new website and Facebook page I have been able to sell directly to the customer.”
