Gairloch Museum
One key challenge for many museums during the Covid-19 pandemic, was not being able to deliver their community events programme. With people not being able to meet many events were cancelled leading to a loss of community interaction and, for some, income. Museums turned to using Zoom and other video conferencing tech to help them to bring events to their audiences - leading to one major bonus: your audience is now the world!
As we were gradually allowed to meet again, there was a real desire for communities to attend events again. These are important social dates in the calendar and essential for community well-being, but those who were watching remotely still wanted to engage. So, how to do both? In 2021 Gairloch Museum came to us to help them create a solution for hosting hybrid events where they could both bring their community together again, but still stream online to a global audience allowing for increased engagement and the potential to generate income to a wider audience base. We helped with advice on the tech and set up they would need and it is a pleasure to see them delivering high quality events both in person and online.
