Sealladh Eadar-Dhealaichte - A different perspective
Bidh daoine a’ cantainn gu bheil feum air a’ chloinn aca a bhith ag obair air am fòn-làimh no a’ càradh a’ choimpiutar aca! Tha e fìor gu bheil fàs suas le teicneòlas air iomadh cleachdaidh a bhrosnachadh agus tuigse eadar-dhealaichte air dè as urrainn teicneòlas a dhèanamh, ach tha poilitigs agus an galar mòr-sgaoilte air buaidh a thoirt air sealladh cruinne dhaoine òga air feadh na h-Alba. Tha seo a’ ciallachadh gu tric gu bheil rùintean agus brosnachaidhean gu math eadar-dhealaichte aca ri ginealach am pàrantan. Mar rud sam bith eile, feumaidh cànanan a bhith comasach air gabhail ris an àrainneachd ùr seo, agus mar sin, feumaidh sinn èisteachd ri beachdan bho gach aois. Tha am panal seo a’ toirt còmhla buidheann de dhaoine òga soirbheachail gus am beachdan air a’ Ghàidhlig a thoirt seachad agus ciamar a bhios i a’ toirt buaidh air an àm ri teachd. Ge bith an e seo ar luchd-compàirt no ma tha sibh ag iarraidh èisteachd ri rudeigin diofraichte, trobhad is coimhead air an t-seisean seo.
Bidh an t-seisean sa Ghàidhlig agus bidh tar-sgrìobhadh Beurla ri fhaighinn às dèidh an tachartas.

A different perspective
People joke that they need their children to work their smart phone or fix the computer. It is true that growing up with technology has encouraged different usage and a different understanding of what technology can do, but politics and the pandemic have also impacted on the world view of young people across Scotland. This means that they often have very different ambitions and motivations to their parents’ generation. Like anything else, languages need to be able to adapt to this new environment, and so we need to listen to the ideas and opinions of all age groups. This panel brings together a group of successful young people to share their views on Gaelic, and how it fits with their future. Whether these are your peers, or you want to hear some different perspectives, this session is well worth watching.
This session is in Gaelic and an English transcript will be made available.
