Radio goNORTH Archive 2013
There were tears and there were triumphs, and as the sun sets on the trainees’ time at Radio goNORTH here’s a look back at the live music sessions, the interviews, the photos, the films and some of the best of the on air moments from a cracking year at goNORTH.
One of the core skills in radio is the ability to research, record, edit and produce your own stand alone features. This year the trainees went over and above expectations to produce features from the lochs to the coffeeshops, listen to them all again here.
Tom Duncan from ScreenHI was on hand throughout the two week training course, not only to document the learning process but also to tap into the psyche of the trainees as they are faced with their considerable and rewarding challenges.
The goNORTH festival centres around the amazing creativity of the people of the Highlands and Islands, plus further afield too. We love music so we got as many bands as possible to come to the station to play live for the assembled crowd and our burgeoning online listening audience. Now you can listen back to them all too.
They are pretty little things, and it’s always nice to put a face to the name. Here you’ll find all of the photos from behind the scenes at Radio goNORTH 2013 – plus a few smiling faces from the bands that played live on the station.
We've collected all the stories from our trainee producers as they went out on location to interview and gain experience.
