Radio goNORTH Archive 2013 Features Vintage! With Fee Hamer

I’m an identical twin so my passion for fashion comes from wanting to define my own sense of uniqueness, although my parents were sensitive enough not to dress us like clones.

I came to the goNORTH Festival last year to attend workshops on social media to promote my brand of upcycled ‘trashion’ – QuirkiNess Designs – Outer Hebrides. This is when I first met the intrepid entrepreneur, Dave Lynch, who originally established a community interest vintage and thrift store: The Greenhouse in Dingwall.

Since then, Dave has left The Greenhouse to set up The Village in the centre of Inverness with a twist of both vintage and thrift to cater to all walks of life. He hopes this new enterprise will provide a space in the centre of Inverness to not only promote local independent traders but also create a social hub that seamlessly blends the old with the new. A resurgence of the British eccentric. Stunning Vintage Fashion Show hosted by The Village tonight Friday 31 May at 7.00pm at Eden Court and featuring local models wearing some of the finest vintage fashion in the Highlands.
