Radio goNORTH was Protection Patrol Pinkerton’s first ever gig in Scotland. They had travelled 12 hours to play a half hour set in the Blackfriars so we were delighted to make their trip more worth while by inviting them in for a session.
The band chatted to Chloe and Paddy about how they enjoy playing gigs on the street, have recently played on a boat, and having to steal a guitar from the hostel to play the session. They performed two brilliant songs (one of which they filmed and put on youtube), and it didn’t take much to persuade us to go to their gig that evening. The whole team turned up and took front row seats to witness arguably the best band of goNORTH.
Chanting and clapping at the front we were amongst the action when Jelle the front man jumped over the invisible barrier into the crowd and cleared a space for topless dancing.
