A&R Worldwide Global Keynote with Dougie Bruce
Dougie Bruce who famously signed Adele to UMPG before joining Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment will sit down with Sat Bisla, President & Founder, A&R Worldwide, for an inspirational and insightful conversation about music publishing and A&R.
Returning to UMPG in 2018 after his tenure as MD at Sony’s Epic Records, major UK success stories over the past years have included the companies relationship with British songwriter Steve Mac, who co-wrote Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You, in addition to hits by the likes of Rita Ora, Clean Bandit and Liam Payne.
As the music ecosystem continues to evolve amidst changing consumption platforms, data/metrics, streaming, revenue platforms and more, the art form that is A&R only continues to grow in importance, especially as social, digital and mobile arenas fuel the increasingly over-stimulated music fan and consumer.
What does it take to create and develop a hit song and the artist behind it? Our special A&R keynote will highlight creativity in the music business with a discussion on the art, gut instinct, science and business behind the next wave of global hits and artist development.
