Small Band....BIG Synch
Success Stories in Pitching Emerging Music to Film, TV and Advertising
In 2019 music sync revenues (when a band's music is used for example in a scene on a TV show, or on a film trailer) continue to be very important for emerging as well as established artists. But the creative gatekeepers in television, film and advertising can often appear to be opaque and hard to reach for bands and songwriters who perhaps are not with a major publisher or label; and thus struggle to pitch music towards opportunity. In this session key individuals (from one of Adidas's global music team to a VP from Paramount Pictures Music) will share stories of situations where a key music placement went not to a global superstar, but rather an independent individual or band. They will also open up the pathways independent music can take to be at the front of the queue for sync opportunities.
