UHI Inverness graduation

The official photographer at the UHI Inverness graduation and celebration ceremony set aside his camera during the afternoon session to receive his scroll on stage.

Paul Campbell, an award-winning professional freelance photographer and filmmaker from Inverness, studied BA (Hons) Contemporary Filmmaking in the Highlands and Islands at UHI North, West and Hebrides.

Paul said: “As a photographer the technical aspect of filmmaking was covered, how to pull it all together into a compelling story was more of a challenge. I decided to undertake the degree to help me achieve this. It's been a hard slog, both studying and running my business, but the effort has been worth it. The filmmaking side of my work has seen me cover stories from as far north as Unst in Shetland all the way down to Southampton".

Paul's short film, 'Camas', about the changing environment on Loch Ness, will be shown as part of this year's Inverness Film Festival at Eden Court.
