To be considered truly sustainable or green, a business should have minimal negative impact on not only the local but global environment and also contribute positively at a societal and economic level.
In Scotland we see new ventures with sustainability built into their ethos. Cultural core values that are purpose driven within the business structure are evident from their outset.
As we build a future that is more sustainable, businesses focus on developing better products utilising local natural resources or recycling existing materials with a circular economy approach. Extending the life cycle of materials or repurposing can help reduce waste. We bring together those who are actively involved in creating” good” products that are either better for people or better for the planet.
Over three webinar’s we investigate the journey of creating a sustainable product, hearing from a variety of enterprises who have designed and launched within the last 5 years. We look at what support is available in a challenging marketplace.
In this second session, we share 3 inspiring stories of purpose driven businesses:
Jessica Giannotti, Crubag
Clare Campbell, Prickly Thistle
