Talk to Me: Today's Storytelling for Audio

What do radio, podcasts and audio tours have in common? Storytelling. Join radio and podcast producer Pauline Moore, Geotourist's Lindsey Wilson and audio-producer and co-founder of California based start-up Mumble Media Jaymeson Catsouphes, as these three master audio makers share the techniques of the trade and reveal their secrets of storytelling.

    Tim Wright is Director and co-founder of twintangibles a UK based management consultancy that helps organisations create value through accessing the crowd economy. A leading thinker and practitioner on crowdfunding Tim provides expert insight to the OECD, European Commission and the Scottish Government and is author of The Scottish Crowdfunding Report.

    Previously Tim has worked for Egon Zehnder International and McKinsey & Co and a number of other highly respected organisations. He is a Board member of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of Registers of Scotland.

    A sought after speaker Tim has keynoted conferences across Europe, USA, Africa, India and New Zealand. He is co-author, with Daniela Castrataro, of “Crowdfunding - Come finanziarsi online.” and “Ideas to Reality” co-authored with John Reid. His most recent book “CrowdAsset – Crowdfunding for Policy Makers” was published in 2020. His forthcoming books “Crowdfunding To Win” will be published in 2021.

    Pauline was a news reporter at Radio Foyle in Derry in the 90s before moving to BBC Radio Scotland. She now lives in Glasgow where she works as a freelance radio producer and makes podcasts for The Big Light Podcast Network (The Tartan Noir Show; Scotland’s Street Orchestra).

    Content Partnerships and Marketing in UK & Ireland, Geotourist

    Lindsey looks after Content Partnerships and Marketing in UK & Ireland and has been developing strategic partnerships at Geotourist since 2016. Working with the disruptive platform’s partners, Lindsey’s work spans several markets and specialisms. With a particular interest in place-making through storytelling, screen, literary, and responsible tourism, Lindsey helps Geotourist partners to strategically position their tours in order to drive the most benefit for local communities while supporting real-time visitor engagement. In 2018, Lindsey was recognised as one of Top 100 Women in Tourism. Lindsey has a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

    Co-founding member, Mumble Media

    Jayme Catsouphes is an award-winning producer, director, engineer and co-founding member of Mumble Media, a worker-owner audio production cooperative that specializes in audio fiction. His favorite Beatles song growing up was “Revolution 9,” which probably explains a lot.
